FULL ITINERARY
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
Upon arriving at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, our local guide will greet us and take us to our hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to relax and recover from the flight. This evening, we will dine at the best restaurant in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B, L)
On this day, we will start by visiting Ba Dinh Square and the Ho Chi Minh complex, followed by the Temple of Literature, one of Vietnam's iconic landmarks. In the afternoon, we'll tour the Museum of Ethnology and explore Hanoi's old quarter by cyclo (paddle rickshaw). In the evening, we'll enjoy a water puppet show. Overnight stay in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay Day Trip (B, L)
Today, we will visit Halong Bay, renowned for its stunning natural beauty. In the morning, we will depart for Halong Bay and embark on a private junk for a 4-hour boat journey around the majestic, secluded bay, now a World Heritage site. A delicious, fresh seafood lunch will be served on board.
In the afternoon, we will pass by Dog Islet, Cockfighting Islet, Turtle Islet, and many others, stopping along the way to explore the Dau Go and Thien Cung caves. After disembarking, we will return to our hotel in Hanoi for an overnight stay.
3-Day Central Vietnam Tour
Day 4: Hanoi Fly to Hue (B)
After breakfast, we will head to the airport for our flight to Hue. Upon arrival, our tour guide will greet us and escort us to our hotel. In the afternoon, we will visit the Hue Imperial Citadel, including the Forbidden Purple City, the residence of Vietnam’s last royal dynasty. We will also explore the bustling Dong Ba market, known for its wide variety of fresh produce. Overnight stay in Hue.
Day 5: Hue – Hoi An (B, L)
We will begin our day with a dragon boat cruise along the Perfume River, stopping to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda. Afterward, we will take a van to see the majestic and scenic Emperor Tu Duc's Tomb. In the afternoon, we will leave Hue for Hoi An, traveling through the high pass of Hai Van, which offers spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean on the way to Danang. Along the way, we will visit the Cham Museum and Marble Mountain before continuing to Hoi An for our overnight stay.

Day 6: Hoi An Walking Tour (B)
In the morning, we will take a walking tour of Hoi An town. This charming riverside town is rich in centuries-old traditional architecture, reflecting the influences of various Asian cultures in its old houses and waterside buildings. Hoi An is also well-known for its affordable custom-tailored outfits, which can be made quickly. This is a wonderful opportunity to savor Hoi An's unique foods and drinks. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
3-Day North Vietnam Tour
Day 7: Hoi An – Danang – Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels (B)
In the morning, we will transfer to Danang airport for our flight to Ho Chi Minh City. In the afternoon, we'll visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, a significant site for understanding the US-Vietnam war, also known as the "Iron Triangle" or "Iron Land." On our way, we'll pass through the scenic countryside, featuring rubber plantations and rice paddies. Before entering the tunnels, we'll watch a short introductory video explaining their construction. We'll then explore the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened for tourist access. We'll also see various mantras, the remains of an American tank, and numerous bomb craters created by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers. After the visit, we'll return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B, L, D)
At 08:00, we will depart from Ho Chi Minh City and head to the Mekong Delta, known as Vietnam’s rice basket. We will travel through idyllic rural landscapes until we reach My Tho, a tranquil town on the banks of the Mekong River, where we will visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda.
We will then take a boat ride on the Mekong, visiting local homes and orchards, a coconut candy workshop, and a honeybee farm. We will also take a sampan ride along palm-shaded creeks, sample seasonal fruits and honey tea, and enjoy a performance of traditional Southern singing. Afterward, we will return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)
Today, we have free time at our leisure before transferring to the airport for our departure flight home.
